Link & Uptime Guard demo

Maple Street Bakery is a fictional small business, made for this demo. Mench Link & Uptime Guard runs on its own WordPress site: it finds broken links in posts, pages, menus and Elementor content, logs the pages visitors could not find and redirects them, and watches client sites, with alerts by WhatsApp, SMS or email through Mench Notify.

Broken links it found

Every link is checked in the background. A link counts as broken only after it fails twice, an hour apart, so a site that was down for a minute is not reported. Each one can be fixed in place, unlinked or redirected, with undo.

Pages visitors could not find

Bots and probes for wp-login or .env files are left out. Only the path and the linking page’s host and path are kept: no IP address, no user agent.

PathVisits
/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/autumn-menu.pdf37
/about-us-2019/12
/summer-sale-2024/8
/shop/gift-card5
/contact.html3

Three of them already redirect: /about-us-2019/ and /contact.html go to this page, and /summer-sale-2024/ answers 410 Gone, so search engines drop it.

Client sites it watches

Riverside Clinic was up 100% and the bakery shop 99.4% of the last 30 days. When a site fails two checks in a row, the people on the alert list get one message, and another when it is back up. (In this demo the watch is paused, so no real site is checked.)
